Jenna Tenn-Yuk is a spoken word artist, public speaker and educator. She was a member of the 2010 Canadian Festival of Spoken Word Wild Card team, and has performed at Parliament Hill, City Hall, Pecha Kucha, numerous conferences and has given a TEDx Talk. Through expressing her own voice in poetry and music, Jenna has seen how the scars of her past have become beautiful ways to connect with people’s hearts and stories. She runs a monthly poetry series, Words to Live By, and facilitates spoken word workshops to help people find and speak their voices. Jenna is currently working on a master’s degree at the University of Ottawa, where she has lectured on spoken word and activism, and is conducting research on the local slam poetry scene.
